Our training includes:

  • The Claymore Connect Centre will be running a community kitchen cooking course from from February 2012. This program is supported by the Coca Cola Australia Foundation. We are taking registrations of interest, so contact the Claymore Centre.
  • Our Macquarie Fields Connect Centre runs a homework club Monday to Thursday afternoons between 2.00pm and 4.45pm, with free access to computers.
  • Job and life skills: available individually or through group workshops at Airds. The course provides employment, personal, literacy and numeracy skills plus job specific work experience.
  • Our Airds Connect Centre is running a free Introduction to Computers course over eight weeks, in conjunction with TAFE - contact the Centre to register your interest.
  • Literacy and numeracy tutoring: one on one training tailored to your needs, supported by TAFE. This is available through our Macquarie Fields and Airds Connect Centres - contact either Centre directly to book your lesson.
  • Young parents group: A group of young parents meet Wednesdays and Thursdays between 9.30am to 11.30am with sessions covering subjects such as healthy eating, and health and well-being. Childcare is available. The sessions are run through our Macquarie Fields Connect Centre.
  • Starting in February 2012, our Airds Connect Centre will be running a free Pathways to Horticulture course in conjunction with TAFE. The course will run for 12 weeks and will cover gardening, concreting, timber work, paving and garden maintenance. Contact the Centre to register your interest.
