i.settle.with.IT!

isettlewithitMigrant and refugee technology training program

Our i.settle.with.IT! project helps migrant and refugee job-seekers learn how to use common software and gain the basic IT skills that are needed to find meaningful employment. These resources form the basis of training that can be shared with migrant and refugee organisations.

WorkVentures' i.settle.with.IT program was highly commended in the 2010 UTS Human Rights awards in the Social Inclusion category for its work as a community partner for Dr Linda Leung. Read more information here.

WorkVentures has developed a range of IT training resources designed for migrant and refugee job-seekers, including self-directed IT training materials.

Visit our free online tool for self-paced learning in computer skills and English.

Tis project was run in conjunction with the Social Inclusion Pathways for Refugee Youth (SIPRY) initiative, piloted by organisations including Centrelink and the Department of Immigration and Citizenship. Download our evaluation report on our part of the SIPRY program.

Microsoft Australia supported the development of the project and our resources fit with the existing Microsoft Unlimited Potential curriculum.
