Administration Assistant Trainee

One of our newest host employers is seeking a trainee administration assistant to join their successful accounting and financial planning firm. This opportunity would be ideal for someone with a keen interest in a career in the accounting or financial services industries. Having a Higher School Certificate is preferred and any previous experience in administration would be considered advantageous. This is a great opportunity for a school leaver eager to get their foot in the door. Our client is especially keen to meet with applicants that live locally, in or around Taren Point.
Duties:
- Answering and directing general telephone enquiries
- Receiving visitors into the office
- Opening, sorting and distributing mail
- Organising couriers
- General banking
- Maintaining kitchen and stationery supplies
- General administrative support to office staff
- Photocopying, faxing, filing and scanning
- Typing simple letters as instructed
- Maintaining archival system.
Selection criteria:
- Good command of written and spoken English
- An interest in accounting or financial services
- Higher School Certificate or equivalent preferred
- Well presented, professional and friendly
- Follows instructions well and completes all tasks assigned
- Ability to work in a team
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel
- A keen interest to develop skills and knowledge within a corporate firm.
Eligibility criteria:
- NOT completed any qualification above a Certificate II
- Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or a New Zealand Citizen that has resided in Australia for more than 6 months.
