Longstanding board member Steve Ward retired from the WorkVentures’ Board at the 2010 AGM on Tuesday 27 April. Steve has been a Board member since 1993, first becoming involved with WorkVentures when he was an early tenant of the WorkVentures Business Incubator at Surry Hills, operating an industrial design consultancy.
He has since added experience in industry, public organisations (including RTA and WorkCover) and University of NSW, where he is currently a lecturer in Industrial Design.
Steve has been a member of the Board’s Membership and Sydney ITeC Repair Centre sub-committees.
WorkVentures’ President Neville Cox thanked Steve for his long commitment to WorkVentures. “Steve has seen the organisation through some exciting and challenging times. His contribution to the Board is most valued, especially his well-balanced advice on the variety of issues that the Board faced during some periods of experimentation as well as growth. He has dedicated considerable time and energy to supporting the organisation.”
