iGetIT! courses teach aboriginal and disadvantaged youth about basic computer assembly and de-bugging. All learning is hands-on and based around a personal project of re-building a computer to take home at the end of the course. Participants work towards attaining two or three units of a Certificate II in Information Technology.

This course is provided by WorkVentures in partnership with organisations that are already working with aboriginal and disadvantaged young people. It engages youth in learning new skills, supports other activities offered by our partners, and builds the confidence and motivation to apply those skills to gain employment or enrol in further training.
Everyone who completes the course will keep the computer they have personally built from components supplied by WorkVentures.
Simon and his sister Martha completed the iGetIT! course early in 2009 - read Simon's story.
