To get started with your personal computer (PC) as quickly as possible we provide:
  • A comprehensive and user friendly Set-up Guide with each computer
  • Free phone and email technical support during your warranty period
  • Referrals (depending on your location) to computer training and/or support.

Warranty

We offer a standard six month hardware warranty. During the warranty period, WorkVentures will bear the all costs relating to fixing any hardware failure, including repair and freight costs.

Our general warranty terms and conditions

Subject to terms and conditions set out below WorkVentures and its Connect IT production partners agree to repair or replace at our cost, the computer product and its hardware (here after referred to as the Product) and any accessories supplied with it, purchased by you when the Product does not perform in accordance with the manufacturers specifications during the Standard Warranty period of six (6) months.

The standard warranty period of six (6) months commences from date of delivery of the Product; and proof of purchase (ie ivoice or purchase receipt) must be presented when requesting service under the Standard Warranty.

WorkVentures and its Connect IT production partners reserve the right to replace the Product or relevant part with the same or equivalent Product or part, rather than repair it.

General exclusions and limitations

To the full extent permitted by law, the Standard Warranty will not apply:

  • If the Product has not been installed, operated, maintained or used in accordance with instructions or specifications
  • If the applied serial number has been altered or removed from the Product
  • To damage, malfunction or failure resulting from:
    • alterations or additions to the Product
    • accident, misuse, abuse, fire, or any form of spillage
    • mis-adjustment of customer controls
    • use on incorrect voltage, power surges and dips or voltage problems
    • thunderstorm activity or acts of God
    • tampering or unauthorised repairs by any persons
    • use of defective or incompatible accessories
    • the operation of a computer virus of any kind
    • exposure to abnormally corrosive conditions
    • entry by insect, vermin or foreign object in the Product
    • to any third-party software or hardware not contained in the Product as originally configured by WorkVentures and its Connect IT production partners
    • replacement or repair of any (1) consumables (including batteries and cables) or (2) lost parts or accessories.

WorkVentures Connect IT and its production partners will not be liable for any loss, damage or alterations to (1) third party hardware or software, or (2) programs, data or information stored on any media or any part of the Product, no matter how occurring, or for any loss or damage arising from loss of use, loss of profits or revenue, or for any resulting indirect or consequential loss or damage.

The aggregate liability of WorkVentures and its Connect IT production partners in respect of all claims under the Standard Warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the Product or, at our option, the cost of replacing the Product.

WorkVentures and its Connect IT production partners exclude all other warranties, conditions, terms, representations and undertakings, whether expressed or implied.

Refunds

WorkVentures offers refunds under the following conditions:

Refund requests prior to delivery

Customers may cancel their order at any time before their computer is dispatched from our warehouse. In the event that an order is cancelled, all payments received will be fully refunded to the customer.

Refund requests after delivery

Change of mind

Within seven (7) days of delivery, customers may contact WorkVentures to return their computer. Once all components are returned, including the Microsoft product keys, WorkVentures will issue a refund. From the customer’s purchase price, WorkVentures will deduct a freight charge for couriering the computer to and from the customer at the following rates:

  • Desktop computers $60
  • Laptop computers $40.

Major fault

In the event of a major fault within the warranty period, customers may choose to receive a full refund rather than waiting for their computer to be repaired.  A major fault includes:

  • A defect that cannot be fixed by our workshop within five (5) business days (excluding transit time), or
  • Equipment that is unsafe.

Once all components are returned, including the Microsoft product keys, WorkVentures will test the computer to confirm there is a fault. If the fault is confirmed then a refund will be issued. If no fault is found or the fault is not covered by WorkVentures' warranty, arrangements will be made to return the computer to the customer. 

Customers requesting a refund should contact WorkVentures Connect IT on 1800 112 205 and select option #2. It may take up to 10 business days for the refund request to be processed.
