Dympna House is a small non-profit organisation that each year counsels 6,000 women, children and youths affected by sexual assault.
The organisation replaced 10 year old equipment with 10 refurbished desktops and a laptop.
Dympna House executive director Judy Banko said that the opportunity to source low cost personal computers (PCs) was a god-send. “Money’s always so tight. We had significant budget constraints, there was no way that we could replace our worn out computers with new release models,” she said.
“We constantly review our work to make the best use of our resources ... up-to-date hardware has made a big difference to our operations."
