Case study: Richmond West Primary School

Richmond West Primary School is the third most disadvantaged school in Victoria, servicing students from five public housing estates with a high percentage of migrants.

The school bought 75 refurbished computers from WorkVentures to replace old computers that were no longer functional.

Students mostly use the computers in classrooms and learning labs, however, some teachers also use them in their staff rooms.

Principal of Richmond West Peter Lord is a great supporter of refurbished PCs. “The PC quality is great – we can do everything we need to do. Through buying refurbished PCs instead of new PCs we were able to buy 35 PCs instead of 8. That made sure that I came back for another 40 the next year,” Peter said.
