Regular activitiesIn addition to training courses and access to computers, our Connect Centres run a range of free activities specifically for members of the local community.

Regular activities

Monday

You can visit our library at Airds, established and run by our volunteers. It has books and DVDs that can be borrowed at any time, free of charge. The library operates Mondays between 9.00 am and 2.30pm, Tuesdays between 1.00pm and 3.30pm, and Thursdays between 9.00am and 2.30pm.

Find your green thumb in our community garden at Airds. Our volunteers work alongside a qualified horticulturalist who visits on Mondays from 10.00am to 12noon, and provides valuable onsite training in all aspects of market gardening and garden maintenance.

Our Claymore Connect Centre runs parenting classes every second Monday from 10.00am to 12noon. The sessions share information between parents who are new to parenthood.

Our Macquarie Fields Centre runs a coffee club for young parents on Monday mornings.

Our new Community Kitchen program starts on Monday 2 August at Airds and runs for 10 weeks from 10.30am to 12.30pm - find out more or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Tuesday

Join our new Cooking Made Easy sessions at Claymore running from 9.45am. Learn how to make healthy and tasty meals that are easy to make.

Be part of the new Airds/Bradbury Cookbook Project every second Tuesday from 10.00am to 12noon at Airds. The cookbook will provide cheap, easy meals developed by the community for the community. The Airds/Bradbury cookbook comes hot on the heels of The Fields Cookbook, launched in December 2009 and produced by residents of Macquarie Fields through the Macquarie Fields Connect Centre.

Airds Centre library is open from 1.00pm to 3.30pm 

Wednesday

Join our new women's self-defence class at Claymore on Wednesdays from 10.00am to 11.00am.

We run an arts and crafts group at Macquarie Fields on Wednesday mornings from 9.00am to 1.00pm, making photo albums, greeting cards, candle holders and much more.

Thursday

Airds Centre library is open from 9.00 am to 2.30pm.

The Airds Centre is running women's self-defence classes from 10.00am to 11.00am every Thursday.

Join in the Claymore Village Market Days, held on the second and fourth Thursdays of every month from 10.00am to 12noon.

Friday

Our low impact health and fitness classes for all ages are run on Fridays between 10.00am and 11.00am at Claymore.
